Furniture layout

Hi, I am in the process of buying a bungalow that has an unusual shaped living space. it is something I want to address in a couple of years…but for now I would love some ideas on how to place furniture.

The wall with the clock is shown on the plan as the wall with the hob behind.

The table and chairs are next to the door to the hall.

Thanks in advance!

Hiya thats a really big space for a living room and unusual so theres a couple of different ways to approach this, youve not mentioned if the furniture in the pic is yours im assuming not as it says in the process of buying it. If you have a dining table id still keep it where those in the pic have theres as its closer to the kitchen and can be easily segregated to give it its own space. Im not entirely sure why they have a tv down there and the sofas at the existing angle but i would mount the tv where the clock is and have either the sofa facing away from the dining table so its its own space or they have rounded sofas which would work really well in this space and then if in the future you plan to square off the room they would still work lovely.

Thank you…that’s a good idea about mounting the TV…I had thought about the curve sofa, I do have 2 sofas already but could look to change them in the future.

I think once I am in there i can look at the space more clearly. I will keep you posted! Thank you.
