Wall art recommendations - Sculpture or Abstract Painting/Pring?
Comments (10)Hi there, You have a really great room and some modern wall art is definitely the way to go to finish it up, We have lots of large canvases available on Hutsly (http://www.hutsly.com/collections/wall-art/material_canvas) including some in the colours you were after but I would have to agree with the comment above about using different colours to give a bit of life and colour to your space, maybe something like this: Available here. Or this one: Available here. Or this other one: Also available here. They could work for both the wall behind your sofa and the one behind your TV and for example the first and last one are in a similar theme so they would go well together. And for your kitchen wall I would pick something in a portrait format like this: Available here. Or this one which I love too: Available here. Otherwise you could do a display wall here with lots of different prints like the ones on here. Hope that helps!...See MoreLarge footstools
Comments (4)Hi Charlie, the Valentin stool on sofa.com is lovely but a little pricey. if you have the budget go for it but if you want to save £100 there are a lot of eBay sellers offering similar products for less and they will usually send you fabric samples, for example: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/311643311896?lpid=122&chn=ps&adgroupid=27378760866&rlsatarget=pla-181484334306&adtype=pla&poi=&googleloc=1007238&device=c&campaignid=620865095&crdt=0...See MoreLarge Living area
Comments (2)I think you should consider having a dining table next to the kitchen, even it's only big enough for a couple of chairs. A dining table can also be used for art and crafts, homework (if you have kids) etc....See Morefeature walls and paint colours for a large open plan space?
Comments (11)Morning! Oh that's ok, haha. So yes I will have a small radiator (electric one) near the dining table and one over by the sofa. I wanted to create a larger floor to ceiling and wider than the dining table sized feature which would break up the large tv wall. So not just a picture size. However... I am thinking about having a go at painting one on myself, LOL, because they are so expensive and for the type of mural I'm thinking of for this room (ie more arty and not a direct photo), I'm not so bad a copy drawing. part of me still thinks having beading either side to make it a feature would be better as it may just get lost on a large wall if it's floating there by itself? If i had a picture it would be framed so I guess it will just look like a giant picture frame (without the top maybe? Just two beads up both sides to give the impression it's a separate wall. ? Otherwise, should I feel that I should add some tonal colours in the room but the best ones would be the ones at either end as it's a long room (5m) x 4.5 approx but just not sure what. Bonus is that we plan on dropping the ceilings below now so I can have a laminate rather than carpet and have a nice rug in there instead (yay)....See More- 2 years ago
