I have now! I didn't use one in my previous home and after a few years, no matter how much I scrubbed, I couldn't get the droplet stains off. So I have no experience on regular cleaning :). My sister, who is a regular cleaner, says it will still get dirty in the end. But maybe she didn't use Viakal :). I must admit I don't use the squeegee much. Our current shower cubicle has tiny 20x20cm white tiles and no hand sprayer. It just doesn't seem to matter whether I use it or not. Can't wait to get a shower with large tiles!

Hi Jo, the windows are on the first floor and not in a loft, looking out onto flat roof, I would like to walk out of the window and onto the flat roof but for safety reasons will need a rail preferably glass so we have a view. I need something fixed so children don't fall out but something that has a latch that I can use to clean the roof light etc...

We had 1960s glass in double sliding doors that we replaced with safety glass when grandchildren came arrived. Shortly after, a friend's wee boy fell downstairs and went through a non safety glass door to a vestibule and cut an artery. You can imagine the panic. Fortunately he was blue lighted quickly to hospital and was ok. We were relieved for them all and glad we had done what we could to prevent an accident like this in our house. I would replace the glass if I were you.

My best guess is that you won't find exactly what you're describing - but then again I didn't know you could get fire rated pocket doors! I've got my fingers crossed that the space is for a bathroom and building control don't need it to have a fire door as I'm not certain you need one on a wetroom. Other options I can think of are glazed wall to the right of your green square to make the stairwell more open (guessing you've already found this sort of product https://www.fireratedwindows.co.uk/screens-curtain-walling/structural-glazed-curtain-walling/) and/or extra roof lights for the room. Roof lights also give you extra head height - the loss of height when the insulation went in had more impact than I'd visualised.
