A couple of additional cushions would bring extra comfort and colour to the sofa, perhaps matching your curtains or rugs? But it’s entirely your choice. I see some sofas dressed with so many cushions you can’t actually sit on it!
You could add a couple of cushions in a colour or pattern to add interest and colour. It depends on what else is in the room and wall colour (cream?). Neutrals would be a good way to go. Co-ordinating the colours of the curtains, rug and cushions is good, not too matchy matchy. Something like this maybe?
Black goes lovely with neutrals, it gives it a lift. You could add a black framed mirror or artwork to tie in, and maybe cushions with a bit of black in them if you wish. They will sit well with your neutrals.
Looking at the overall pic I think your room would really benefit from a large soft rug and a coffee or side table or two as well as the cushions that you queried. Loaf has lovely linen and velvet ones and the colour co-ordination is almost done for you as they only do sludgy colours. I would avoid pattern. Consider some small long rectangle ones for back support when sitting on the sofa. A mix of shapes is good.
