Hello. I would your advice or input. We bought a new house and we move in Mid Jan. It has Victorian characteristics which I love. We’ve bought a huge sofa length 260cm And depth 103cm. It will also house our TV. It’s got a high ceiling and picture rail. We kind of assume the sofa will be positioned on the wall opposite the door (it will cover the room radiator). Could you please advise on other furniture (keeping it somewhat contemporary. We also like minimalism. It used to function as the dining room at one time as it has a pretty little hatch in the left alcove.
The carpet is silvery grey and the wall are a blank canvas and white (I think).
The dimension are 4.5m by almost 4m. What can I do to it? What other furniture will I require? I would prefer the floor space to be as special as possible. Aesthetically I think the TV can only go on the opposite wall on a on a narrow stand. Would love it to be light and airy and cosy. I hope to open the chimney (eventually) to host a log burner. I can’t visualise it at the moment and your input will be invaluable.
Thank you.
