Not cherry like the other wood - as would be too dark ... maybe a light non wood finish might be better ? But in all honesty - putting laminate in might give you echo problems maybe a soft thick Lino might be better in this instance, if sweepable floors is your aim ?

Thanks for your replies. I had considered an off white colour, maybe timeless or white cotton. Dusted moss 4 was another possible option. Has anyone used these & if so what is your opinion of them?

Pick something that looks great with your paving or roofing. Example: Our white house is RAL9010 and we chose RAL7039 windows, with some small RAL7032 accents (and our front door is RAL8022). This way there will always be some stone/cement that goes well with it.
