Comments (7)You still need some kind of paving leading out from the house, even if it’s small. During the winter it will not be much fun walking out onto muddy, soggy grass. I feel if a garden is very small, then it is best to dispense with the lawn and just create interesting paving with lots of lush planting providing the greenery. If you go to STORIES on Houzz there are several garden stories, some doing just that. Comments (6)I think the bottom one in brushed stainless steel. As you say if no wood then why accentuate that with an oak threshold strip. I have brushed stainless steel at the junction between an oak floor and a neutral carpet. I think it looks much better than a thick oak threshold strip. I have oak doors too. I would opt for the 25mm version as the 14 leaves very little tolerance for neat finishing. Just measured the width of mine, they are 25mm. Finish is very tidy....See More- last year
