You'd need a good tiler to install it (it needs an almost perfect horizontal/ vertical surface) and can go for an extremely thin grout line. And it's not as expensive as back painted glass or resin panels, it costs just a bit more than an average, normal ceramic tiles.

HI Jodg, Microcement is what you should look into. Its seamless, so no worries about trim. When applied by trained applicators it's completely waterproof. It's available in over 30 standard colours, also metallic finishes. it's only 3mm thick so you wouldn't lose as much space as you would with panels. We incorporate a mesh into the base so it will not crack. Finally the sealing is polyurethane so aswell as being waterproof it is extremely hard wearing. Whilst I agree in an ideal world, none would be better - if only you could magically neaten all the edges with something without using edging! However, you can get some reasonable looking metal tile edging which doesn't look too bad. It was used on the tiles in one of our bathrooms plus we've just had some used with the tiles in our new kitchen. When you look at the tiles front on in there, all you see is the thinnest brushed silver metal line - so not too bad. I'll see if I can upload a photo.

Just wondering whether it would look sleeker and larger with your Hex grey on the floor and your feature wall. It simplifies the look cutting down to just two different tiles. The hex grey will still look nice with the slate tray and the black shower surround. I'm not sure if it was an error, but you mention hex grey on the shower wall and the links you give are for black, sand and white. This is the grey Cement grey that can go on the floor and the wall, with the white everywhere else.
