Problem with these 60s houses is the bricks are ghastly... very little work arounds to that other than external insulate and render. Claddding always poses an issue of longevity and fading of timber (looks good when installed and a cause of regret when it fades). Stop making me blush ;-) I like the more taupe ones too. They go better with the colour of your roof, I think. And I really like the Iron Grey one. Victoria's house looks beautiful! And just because I had your house open in Photoshop anyway, I've also tried Cobblestone.

Hey Saml1992, We did get the bradstone rendered, we went for K-Rend all over, including covering the existing render on the extension - and we couldnt be happier with the finish. We also decided to combine it with cement board cladding and it all came up a treat. I just took this photo (apologies its a bit gloomy here) so you can compare it to what it used to look like! The render and cement board has been up for 14 months now. (Still not finished the front steps though!)

Cladding is attached to the brickwork outside. There are many types available. Have a look on houzz. Just search modern cladding. It can be made of many materials. My current property is clad in larch as it is a barn conversion but I have used fibre cement for an extension before. There are many metal claddings to choose from too.
