We have retained and restored original details, including the coffered ceiling and lincrusta door panels, while installing triple-glazed sash windows and insulation to improve energy performance. This space forms part of a wider retrofit of a beautiful Edwardian home in Bushey. We have worked closely with the client and their architect to balance energy efficiency with the preservation of the property’s character, while reflecting the family’s interior style.

The drawing room and library with striking Georgian features such as full height sash windows, marble fireplace and tall ceilings. Bespoke shelves for book, desk and sofa make it a social yet contemplative space.

The owners of this stylish apartment in Hampstead wanted a dark high gloss statement floor throughout. They opted for this engineered oak floor that has been smoked rather than coloured, giving the timber its rich brown, conker like hues. The high gloss factory finish reflects the natural bright light emanating from the large arched windows and bounces it across the bright white walls of the apartments monochrome interior. Choosing a dark colour in a relatively small space is a brave move, but can be an effective way of creating a visually dramatic look.

We transformed this living/dining area which was a bit dark despite a large window, by painting one of the walls in a dark blue colour, while keeping the rest as they were, a zingy yellow/green and adding colourful furniture, a shaggy Berber rug and floor lamp with a large white shade, we created a vibrant, eye catching space which attracted a buyer on the first day of coming back on the market.. This detail shows the blue sofa, colourful cushion and a large floor lamp with white shade over the grey chair and glass side table.
