Interesting: half of island has full-size cabinets, other half recessed for barstools, and far end has no waterfall, instead overhang to accommodate one more barstool.

I like the metal trim around the "cubby" in the wall. This also makes me like the idea of black as the color for the wall cabinetry.

I would want a small bit of overhang for both countertops (1 inch?), not like this where they are absolutely flush with the cabinets below.

I would love under-cabinet lighting like this (on the top and sides). Also, will my "side panels" be finished (like in the photo, with the brown wood), or will it just be the white wall? I think I would prefer paneling?
