It was 2 parts of Early American ( by Minwax) mixed with 1 part Gunstock ( by Minwax) you could mix this up and test it on a piece of wood, and see if you like it.

Reply to: A cool midtone in something OTHER THAN Minwax. Minwax, Minwax how I loathe thee. Minwax = DIY level material. If you are paying a professional for professional materials I would question why they are using a DIY level and charging you the price of a high-end finish. Minwax stains are not happy when they are paired with water based or oil modified finishes. And water based finishes are the ONLY ONES that DO NOT turn ORANGE. If you want to get rid of "orange" or "yellow" tones in your floor, you MUST work with a water based (not solvent/oil based NOR oil modified...both turn orange/yellow). Minwax has a hard time with water based finishes. I shall say it again, because it is important: Minwax has a hard time with water based polyurethanes. To be clear, a high end water based finish = $100 - $200/gallon. Minwax oil modified (which still has high VOCs BTW) = $65/gallon (if you can find it). Your professional would be charging you the same price to use Minwax as s/he would to use the BIG BOYS of finishing. Hmmm. If you want to keep the orange/yellow out of your floor, you need to work with water based finishes. Which means you need to work with stains that WORK with those finishes. Which means you need to stay away from Minwax. I question the choice of Minwax by a professional refinisher. It is highly questionable and puts me on my guard as to his/her "professionalism". OK.
