Could you have the sofa on the opposite side and have a fire and tv where you've got the sofa now? Where the window seat is maybe bring that wall in to match the opposite corner where you've got the tv? It would mean having a wider wall for a fire and then your kitchen units would be set back plus if in budget you could glaze that whole corner to the dining area so you can see through. Hope that makes sense! I know the sofa isn't so garden facing then but have tried to find a couple of pics. Patio probably not required then! I have no idea of cost ...but maybe an oriel window (think they're called that!) in the bedroom instead to escape everyone!
