Storage on backside of cabinet doors. Allows for more easy access to the entirety of the storage space, rather than having to dig through front layer of stuff to get to back layer. The front layer is effectively stored in the backside of the cabinet.

Door that opens by raising above - means you can access appliances inside and (assuming they are plugged in) you can use them while they are still sitting inside the cabinet while door is open, and the open door doesn’t swing out into the kitchen and cause a block of flow and traffic for everyone in the kitchen area.
