pull rug forward, pull sofa forward, if you must have a ceiling fan, get something more modern looking, (get one without lights, since you have plenty of lighting ) new chair, maybe some different colored drapes, and a storage bench to hold toys.
(nice fiddle leaf, but he needs to be transplanted in a bigger pot! try a blue/white ceramic)
