This original radiator has been sanded and painted gold. Taking it to a car body workshop to be spray painted is the easiest but you can spray it yourself. There are paints specifically for radiators.

A radiator can be pulled forward, away from the wall, to allow something to go behind it - in this case a deep bench seat with lift up top revealing storage .
Of course you don’t want to change a radiator position too often so be sure you want this configuration for a while.
