I know it's different for men but I sometimes take some things that I can get rid of on vacation like old socks or underclothes that I can just put in the trash while I am there. :-)
It lightens my trip on the way back or makes room if I buy something (not more clothes)
I don't have anything so bad that I would be embarrassed if I were in a car accident, but sometimes you do need to replace.
