Reply to: Hi natper - the tree in the foreground is Acer palmatum 'Bloodgood' and the one in the background is Acer palmatum 'Fireglow'. They are similar Japanese maples - the 'Fireglow' keeps a brighter red leaf color in summer and is smaller in size. Fall color, as you can see, is almost identical.
