I like the beams, but don't have to have them if I get some in the family room. I also like the open shelving and would like some open shelving somewhere in the kitchen.

White cabinets, wood vent, single range/oven plus micro and oven on wall. Upper cabinets mixed with lower cabinets, pull out drawers, pot filler on backsplash behind range. Silver handles. I would do metal light pendantsI like the wood element of the hood, and how it matches the side wood panel in the island
