We don't like anything about this picture, but it does have the layout we are looking for. We would like a seating area between the island and the fireplace for two comfortable chairs. The gas fireplace would have fire glass or something like that and you could walk around the fireplace on either side to get into the living room.

Again, this is the kind of setup we would like in the kitchen with the large island and dinning room off to the side. The dinning area needs to have lots of large, unobstructed windows. We do not want windows with grids on them.

We want lots of natural light throughout the house. Large windows in the dinning room like this would be great.

Cabinets and drawers with these types of features would be nice.

Another design like we are looking for. The stove and double ovens on one wall, the sink and dishwasher in the island, and the refridgerater and microwave on the side wall. A large island which comfortably seats 4. We don't want an island, as in this picture, which has the corners of the island sticking out as in this picture.

Although we don't like the colors, hardware, etc in this kitchen, this is kind of the set up we are looking for. The sink and dishwasher are on the island. The user of the sink and dishwasher would be facing the see through fireplace and the living room. On the reverse wall is the stove and double ovens. Ideally, behind the wall which has the stove and double ovens is the galley style pantry. The dinning room would be off to the side as in this picture.

I like the light hardwood floors here. I also like the exposed shelves on either side of the stove. This would be a great place to put some creative touches in the kitchen. We could use the galley style pantry for all the cabinet space. I love the modern farmhouse look.

What I like about this photo is the space between the fire place and the island. I would like enough space to place two comfortable chairs. If I have a guest over it would be the perfect place to have a coffee and talk.We like the ceiling and recessed lighting in this kitchen.
