I love Van Deusen Blue especially in dining rooms! Great choice. To get a more "relaxed" feeling, look to softer, more textured fabric. However, you have a formal set of furniture, and the chandelier is looking pretty fantastic, so don't underestimate the joy of one formal space in your home. But if you want more casual, try out some prints that would give a more casual look. This is a good example.
