I know exactly what you mean about the sofas. Bring one into the middle to make the square either facing each other or at 90deg. Place a low bench or sideboard behind the one that you are using as a divider. You can then place plants, a battery or portable light, ornaments or small piles of interesting books. They gives you the other side for your small round table for everyday dining. That lounge door's position is annoying. You still need to get through so maybe the table on the left side as it appears to be smaller and the sofa arrangement on the right? I just thought you might not want to be right next to the wc when eating?
