From mc - Nice looking, but I worry would look very messy all the time.
From MC - seems to have a number of elements that I like - simple and workable. We also need to focus on a solution for shoes in the mudroom.
I like the herring bone brick floor. It may be nice to have the entrance/mudroom have an interesting floor like this - maybe flagstone
