After. “We didn’t want to do a full kitchen remodel, so to save money, we framed out the cheap laminate doors to make them look like Shaker cabinets and painted them a crisp white and vibrant green,” Ariel says. The couple kept the existing black granite countertops. Mark installed the backsplash tile after borrowing tools, including a tile cutter and spacers, from a friend. “He replaced the faucet with a more modern brass version, and our entire kitchen update was achieved for less than $600,” Ariel says.Cabinet paint: Emerald Green milk paint, General Finishes
nice balance, not too white. hardware helps
beige cabs with dark floors and white trim
nice cab colors, great pairing with floors and white trim. fun but not too bold

yellow paint makes for a happy kitchen!
Wow, very cool. this is the sort of blue I was thinking for our kitchen. Although this clearly has a glaze.
mix of woods, tan subway to bring warmth to "white" kitchen
yes. would work in my house.
beautiful blue, great with floors
great shade of blue to contrast with reddish brown floors
what tempers the white is the contrasting island, dark brown countertops, backsplash which picks up lights and darks and the warm wood floors.
cabs basically match floors but still works.
another white kitchen with med toned counters
counters with white cabs, happy yellow paint
A lighter paint color, more beigey or gray, would help transition the white and brown kitchen into the living room
white cabs in kitchen in otherwise warm wood house
nice cabs, detail but not too fussy
with end glue on panels.....looks good at the end of a peninsula or outer end of a cabinet.....don't seem necessary around the vent. they don't have it here.
a brown and white kitchen I'm not very fond of
cabinetry, especially around toe kick area
the purple accent wall with off white walls and charcoal drapes....could work in our master
same kitchen, plates in drawers?
same apartment, from further view. See how the two tone, white subway tile kitchen works with the rest of the colorful apartment. the neutral gray paint lets the colors pop and work together.
two tone cabinet idea for us, suggested by Elliot. The whole apartment featured here is awesome!
black and white yet homey. wood floor helps and rustic homey touches help.
maybe not this exact shade of blue, but a soft blue for cabs with the Shitake Quartz countertop and white subway?????? An alternative to all white cabs for our kitchen remodel.
bronze hardware and glass will help with a white kitchen
hmmmm.... interesting mix. Happy yellow kitchen, great hardware.
ok, maybe a bit of overkill on the red (for us) but what I like is the warmth of the red and the way it works with the wood tones, plus the lighter counters and stainless.
the color blue used on cabs
maybe a little too blue, but a softened version? This is fun!
here's what I don't a white kitchen to turn into. (oh it's nice, just doesn't go with my house, too modern and spare)
ok, I'd have this one even though it's mostly white......how can I make a mostly white kitchen work when it is adjacent to a living room bursting with color?
not that I would want gray, but something other than white cabs
soft color of painted cabinets.
same kitchen, deeper view. Love the poufs! paint color works with countertops, tho I'm not a fan of beige in kitchen
dark floors, white cabs and stainless, grayish quartz counters like we are considering.
white cabs, Pental Mesa quartz, dark floors
wolf range on one wall, Thermador or Electrolux oven combo on other wall. seems to work.
