if top rail were lower, I like this type of wainscot. -however, I recognize that it is vulnerable to scratches etc. having large spans of 'flat.'
stronger top rail and baseboards help tone down the beadboard look.
though too tall, and panels too tightly spaced, I like the simplicity.
i think beadboard too similar to the ceiling will come off busy feeling.
i like the simple, almost shaker style panels. Getting the spacing correct may be more difficult than we (I) think.
broad beadboard not too busy with (our) beadboard ceilings. I also like the simple top moulding/rail.
