honed black granite surround -- how about granite tile -- very large sixe?

not sure of material - tile (could it possibkly be floor entry tile???)

If this surround were built out from the wall (like a box) would have built in mantel that did not require any additions, cuts, holes, etc. basically a protruding box on one ? or both? sides
this looks exactly like our entry way tile cheap!
