Just finished our master bath remodel and used Cambria quartz (torquay pattern) in the shower, on counter top and window sill. Cost $12,000 (less than we initially thought) and love it!

Free standing tub is the way to go. Very few new constructions do tub with deck any more. 72x42 gives you lots of choices. Here's one I did last year. Same size/config alcove as yours. Tub was less than $1000.
