Large kitchen drawers. Looking down into a well-lit space is much better than looking deep into a dark cabinet. In this kitchen large drawers have completely replaced cabinets. Just make sure they are all soft close.

Super-pantry. Don't like large entrance, but baskets, if used to store a collection of things (such as a collection of acrylic glasses and plates for out door use; barbecue gear - spatulas, paper towels, therma-pen, plates for cooked food; etc.) could make transport from pantry to table easier.

No ability to slide things on and off stove or have ingredients at ready. Cabinet side will need to be cleaned every day. Heat will ruin quality/freshness of spices.
