Like that it would have built in cabinets on one side. I like large wood trim work around the fire box the wood surround on sides and between firebox and mantel. I like herring bone fire brick. This doesn't have stone, The fire box brings a lot of black metal surround - would rather have a tile surround. With the other picture in this board with the comment "like the stone work" if just above this picture's wood mantel you started with the set stone from there up (not leaving ledge for an actual mantel) then you could mount Kristen's wood beam on the stone.
