I like the blue cabinets and brass hardware, but would tone down the stark contrast with the white somehow (different backsplash, wood vent hood, etc).
I like that they have incorporated some wood accents, which ties the overall design in with the floor.
Color scheme
Cabinet color, butcher top, sink. I like the look of butcher block, but would never do it near a sink because of water staining. And if you put a hot pan on it it will create a black burn ring. Looks good, but have to baby it too much in my opinion.
I like this, but perhaps the finishes are a bit too sleek/modern for your house.
