Baskets above cabinets look neat and tidy. Store seldom used items out of the way.
Add a narrow bookcase where counter meets a blank wall. Great storage for cookbooks, decorations and cooking utensils.
Install a metallic sheet inside cupboard to use with magnetic items
Not really a dining nook, as it's adjacent to a work counter and next to a door. With a settee against the wall, a small round pedestal table and two small bentwood chairs, you get a lot of seating/dining area in a very small area. Since the chairs are very light and the table small, it's easy to shift them to the side to open the area if you're working at the counter. Or, you can use the table for extra work area for a big project.
Tiny breakfast nook next to the kitchen.
Open shelf niche to hold cooking supplies
Open shelving to fill a corner and cabinet under tiny window makes the most of an awkward space
Slotted storage placed high for those occasionally used items.
Who says your flatware needs to go in a drawer? Use attractive pottery and have it out and ready on an open shelf
Floor to ceiling cabinetry surrounds the refrigerator, making it possible to have minimal wall cabinets along the sink wall.
Custom bins in cabinet for all your utensils
Home Depot Workbench with wooden top. Perfect for a kitchen island
This is a sink to die for!!!!
Extra storage in the window - looks nice, if it's not too cluttery!
This cart rolls under the cabinet & can be pulled out to make an extra work area
Shelving across the stove. NO RANGE HOOD!! This is a great stove - if you could find one!!!
If you don't want a permanent butcher block as part of your counter, this is a great concession. Stays in place, looks good, and is portable to move to another part of the kitchen or hide away!
Why limit yourself to only one cutting board? Collect'em & hang them on the wall. They're ready to go and add a decorating charm.
The tiniest kitchen banquette you'll ever see! Just enough room for one or two!!
Great storage for spices. Everything is in view - no moving containers to find the right spice hidden in the back of the cupboard!!
Build an enclosure to 'house' your refrigerator. This one has a bonus pantry.
Built-in look for the refrigerator includes an open pantry for storage.
Oh my - This is just GREAT!! This is a triple faucet, single sink
It would be so cool to find one of these sink units at a salvage store. This would really be the focal point of a kitchen.
Open shelving around the sink gives the space an airy feel. The sink is a great piece.
The layout is very nice. I like the tile work on the end wall, adding a focal point to contrast with all orange.
LOVE this oven mitt!!
Tiled spice nook at the end of the counter, near the stove is great! Also, love the tile
Linoleum in a chevron pattern - simple and striking!
Paint a small piece of pegboard the same color as your walls. Now you can store/display a number of things without banging a lot of holes in your wall! Change it out whenever the urge strikes. Note how high the board is placed on the wall.
If you don't have the room for a pantry, repurpose a hallway with narrow shelves and cabinets. Use upper cabinets that are only 12" deep as the base cabinets.
Use the inside of a kitchen cabinet to create a great storage solution for measuring spoons and cups. Include a conversion chart and you're ready to cook! http://www.infarrantlycreative.net/2011/08/5-ways-to-organize-with-cabinet-doors.html
DIY Pot Rack & Utensil holder made with stock wood, common brackets & copper piping. So simple and attractive!
A covered hole that opens into an under-the-counter garbage can makes counter cleanup a breeze.
The open shelf holds china serving pieces on the top and mugs hanging below. Attractive accent that's functional as well as appealing.
The really large window stops just above the counter top - WONDERFUL! The smaller side windows have a wide ledge as a perfect dust collector or place to display a few treasures. The bottom opening windows would be easy for a vertically challenged person, such as myself, to use with relative ease.
Got a spare round table just setting around (and who doesn't these days!) Well, why not? just use a straight edge to mark your cutting line, a table saw and go!! Reposition one of the now-scrap legs to make a three leg table that tucks into a tight spot perfectly!!
Add decorative knobs above your baking center to hold rolling pins
Why NOT use a basket next to the sink to drain dishes?? That way if they don't get put away pronto, the counter doesn't look quite so messy!
This natural wood and stainless pipe open shelving really makes an impact on a modern kitchen. How could I use this idea for my kitchen? Perhaps faux verdigris the pipes to downplay the industrial look. Some natural wood would be a nice counterplay with the red cabinets.
Use a magazine rack to hold all your lids. The inside of an upper cabinet keeps them right at eye level and ready when you are!
Which RED to choose??
I really would love to have this in my kitchen!!
Or...shall I go wild with color in the kitchen?? Check out the shelves under the sink - why NOT keep your 'under the sink' stuff elsewhere and use the space for more attractive storage?
