Cynthia, all I have had before this is real hardwoods and carpet. I dont think anything other than hardwoods is going to give that sheen and feel that I loved with hardwoods. I love the color and that there are so many different planks that it doesn't repeat so many times like LVP that I have seen. There is a lot of texture in these floors with the knots and lines and if you love hardwoods these do feel slightly plastic but I needed the durability and I had a guy who's had these in for 18 months with 2 large dogs who in his words are crazy and he says the floors still look brand new. Just moved in but have high hopes for these floors so far. I will say to upgrade to the best underlayment for best cushion underneath.
