If we were to do to a tiered counter, this is how I would do it.

I like the giant bar and how it closes up the kitchen yet keeps it open. But is it too large?

Jes prefers the sink next to a wall, but if it were on an island it would need to be split to hide the dirty dishes.

Top part of cabinets that are rarely utilized can be display storage for china... make it lighted. Jess also like the layout of this kitchen. With the sink and stove top on the wall so that we can have a hood vent

This would be the way to make sure we utilize cabinet space by adding shelves that conform. Not sure how i feel about labeling each shelf
