Love the wood countertop on the island. Not a huge fan of the pickled flooring here.......Too close in colour to cabinetry. Something about this design I find typical and not terribly unique. I have an inkling it is due to the client's choices, not the designer or builder's. I have too often dealt with clients who choose to have their kitchen (bath, living room, etc) remodeled, and are so intent on what is "popular" rather than choose materials that express their individual personality. Uniqueness is key to a great design. Without losing the ability to appeal to a potential buyer if there is ever the need or want to sell the home.
