This whole wet room is enclosed in a Wedi system for the pan and the walls. The only penetrations below the tub are for the drain and water lines which have sikaflex sealant around them. We also sloped the tile away from the penetrations as much as possible and caulked around the outside edge of the tub for a bit more protection. The tub sits on top of the tile. Tricky but really no different than the drain penetration in a tile shower base.
total space is 6x5 shower and bath areas are both 3x5 tiles are 12x24 long ways
