This is a cool way to have the practicality of a shelf while incorporating it into the shower.

Maybe this is the thing to do. White marble countertop and all of the rest of the hard surfaces in a cool textured gray tile.
See how the countertop on the right falls over the side and merges with the curb?
Original color palette. I don't like the wallpaper; just like the tones.
Original color palette.
Here's another one with no pony wall.
This is very close to what I was originally thinking about for the color palette.
This marble countertop falls over the shower side.
Love these floor tiles.
Is this a waterfall?
Here's another one with no pony wall. No waterfall, either. The cabinet just butts up against the glass I guess.
This is great marble. Not too much veining.
I like these wall tiles. Not the color but the texture.
Interesting mirror/faucet combo.
OK, I admit it. I screamed when I saw that thing on the floor.
Another example of my original color palette idea.
At first, I envisioned a palette more like this tile. Now...I'm really loving white and gray.
Pretty marble countertop. And the mirror goes right down to the surface, so no backsplash required.
More white and gray marble. Mmmmmmm. I don't like black marble, though.
Grays and whites are so cool and soothing.
Another view of the waterfall countertop.
This is interesting. They have turned the countertop into a waterfall into the shower. No pony wall required.
If we mounted the faucet in the mirror, we wouldn't need a backsplash, which would make the room less busy.
If we go with a lot of white marble with gray veining and a gray stain on the cabinets, a dark gray floor tile might make some sense....
Imagine a gray stain on the cabinets, white marble slab counter top with grey veining, white sink, etc.
White and gray marble. A little busier veining than I would like.
Need to remember to include cubby space on the shower side of the pony wall.
Interesting idea of having flip up door cabinets above the mirror.
I like the palette here.
