This one is awesome and unusual because of the cool shapes on the wall and light fixtures. Yes it immediately reads as mid-century modern, but if you look longer it's kinds of awesomely geometric.

This one reminds me of this incredible luxe private home I stayed in in Puerto Rico once. It was very spare, with very little furniture, in an ancient building. The lines of the building, old wood in the walls and ceiling, incredibly thick walls covered in plaster or fresco material, and terra cotta tiles on the floor did all the talking.

This room I love - I like the black/white/wood/color contrast, and it may be overdone now but I really like the b/w list of cities on the wall. I also happen to really like the shade of blue on the chair.

I think what I like about this room is also that it feels personal. I have a deep relationship with some musical instruments, so I "read" them as being very speficially owned. I don't like the candelabras, they seem forced. I do like that red cabinet in the corner, because it's a bit out of place - again, specificity.

Hi Debby, in this photo I like the dark window frames with light walls, and that contrast repeated in the picture frames. I also like how the light color in the wall only shows up because of the green in the upholstery. I like how it feels light and airy, lots of glass.

Audrey, What I am finding in these photos includes a white or light beige sofa, seating for 6 , white walls, pops of color, unique pieces, and a relationship from room to room for a cohesive look. There are many durable fabrics available through retailers and other sources. There are pieces available at all price points. We will explore this when we meet next.
