good color scheme for 3 season. beadboard ceiling instead of open to deck
attic - hidden bookshelf into East room wouldn't be that hard. might be a way to create an interesting detail for than opening where you can do much else.
Attic - Awesome detail how back of recessed is a dark stained-wood against the white shelving. this wouldn't be terribly hard.
cool detail how color in recessed differs from rest - matches matt on adjacent artwork.
Attic - would also be cool if some frames and dressers would be a flat black to match hardware/blinds, etc.
ATTIC DETAIL - black vinyl slat blinds for all windows up there against white window trim/casing. would match all door hardware and light fixtures, be pretty cheap and look really cool.

Attic - have light fixtures and door hardware (hinges includes) be a flat black color contrasting against white/light trim, doors, and ceiling,wall color. Cool detail for partition wall where stairwall is with post and newel cap. Would be cool for art frames/door hardware,light fixture color to all be matching flat black, and to trim out some/all walls including half-wall on stairwwell with some wainscott and top cap.

feature sconce lights and built-in. These sconces could also be used for built-in's on either side of TV if relocated to East wall.

Nice detail for built-in with pitched ceiling - could use almost a but-out cabinet that is framed in for lower portion, add a countertop, than simple exposed recessed shelving for when it starts to pitch above.
Attic - cool detail - slanted portion of ceiling black versus flat ceiling, which is hard-lid.
