Reply to: Hello Donna - Great question. We designed the floating shower bench with 3cm slab marble and a stainless steel support pan with weep holes and full-depth stainless steel frame below. We installed steel in the walls to support the cantilevered steel bench frame. The bench is attached on two sides and floating on the other two sides. We allowed for a 3/4" space between the glass and bench edge for cleaning. I have attached a detail for you to share with your contractor.
