Only looking at the type of stone. This looks OK -- not "chunky".

These pillars could work for our porch. I don't like the gaps between the stones, though. Would prefer a more "finished" look. Definitely don't like the lower stone skirt.

The posts seem too small for the stone column bases. I would also make the stone just a bit higher. This is a case where paired posts might work better.

Pretty interesting -- thought we liked single posts, but these paired posts look good!

Like the type of stone, but not its extent/height. It's not too coarse, which is good. The pillars don't look right -- in this case the stone is a little too low, and the wood is tapered too much.

Leaning towards a single wooden post as opposed to paired posts. This stone is pretty nice, too. Prefer straight, not tapered, columns.

with slight mods could be our corner fireplace. nice to have a ledge to sit on.

This style of stone is not bad. Enough roughness and texture but not too coarse.

We need a light like this. One wide door seems like a bad idea.

Frosted glass though. Like the rustic massive feel.
Stone pillars are way too high, plus ugly large stones.

Nice clean fireplace, a little different from most.

Nice massive beams for entry. The stone, though, is too large/coarse and variegated. That angled beam detail is interesting at first but probably a bit too weird.

Maybe we want to consider darker?? Love the contrasts.

Nice garage doors, can live without lights. But maybe the doors are a bit too busy. Still think board and batten makes it look too barn-like.

The proportions between the height of the stone and the wood posts is pretty good.

This beam detail is pretty simple but nice. Would make the vertical and diagonals just a tad thicker, given the massive horizontal beam. This stone is not what we want -- too "chunky".

Shows stone/board and batten/shingle. Plus door beam details is attractive. Doesn't have to be curved, though.

Simple bracket/beam design. Too simple?

Nice flower beds. How will that wood hold up in Colorado's weather?
