I have a tub / shower and sink behind a sliding door in my plan, so that the rest of the bath can be separated and serve the half bath function. That way - if we have guests, their toiletries can be on the vanity space in the tub room, but the sink / toilet can still be accessed from the hall and serve as a half bath.
I didn't have a good place for a 1/2 bath either and needed something closer to the kitchen / greatroom / dining than using the other guest / pool bath. This is only 5' down the hall (lower part of pic.)
