I see what you mean about the benefit of glass cabinets having lights. that would be your call if i needed that if I ended up having glass fronts. the one thing I do like about these is that the fronts are one big piece of glass instead of the windowpane grid. I hate when the shelves don't line up with the grid and these alleviate that problem.
One of my ideas was to have the upper cabinets on the wall that you can't see in photos have glass fronts--2 standard size upper cabinets like pictured here but right next to each other (as if you took out the stove in the middle). I like these glass fronts instead of the ones that look like multiple window panes b/c it bugs me when the inside shelves don't line up with the window pane grid. Not sure if that makes sense but I can further explain when I see you.
