The Dacor unit is designed for bathrooms and outdoor kitchens. It fits in a 21' deep cabinet which is more common in bathrooms and the electrical work is rated for damp locations. Those are the main differences. It is also sold for kitchen use, where it may be less popular because of its smaller size. I have one in my kitchen. Now that the boys are both out of the house, I have considered moving the warming drawer to our bathroom. If the price has gone up that much, I don't think I want to buy a new one. We have one like this that was a gift last Christmas
It would be even nicer if we had a better placement option for it.
