An upholstered chair like this is timeless and classic - and soft! I would steer clear of such a light fabric, but it is the kind of chair that can last design-wise, and will blend well with the other elements in and around that space.

Hear is the "ghost chair" idea we discussed - still have the issue of softer seating...especially with a see-through chair! But it is a cool concept...

Looking at dining chairs for the breakfast nook - I like the mix of the industrial metal chairs and the wood table. I also think it's a good tie-in to the more industrial light fixtures. BUT I know we need comfort, so we could figure out a cushion solution that doesn't distract from the overall design.
