love the purple ground cover. below are the details for the name. i saw that the ground cover needs sun/part sun/part shade. Lankford Associates Landscape Architects The purple flowers are Thymus serphyllum, red mother of thyme. The plant in the center is blue oat grass, Heliotrichon sempervirens. The taller grass behind these are Miscanthus gracillimus, Maiden grass and also siberian iris, iris siberica.
love this entire feel except for that sweeping grass - love the color too Thanks for the compliments! In the foreground orange flowers are Mimulus, and Heliathemum (sunroses). The sweeping hair-like grass is Carex testacea. The red in the backround are Anigozanthus (kangaroo paw) and the purple pom-poms are verbena lilacina a native of the channel island. pink flowers were Gaura ? Is it Pennisetum on the left of the purple pompoms ?
