Reply to: The flooring is hickory with a white wash wax finish. The backsplash was provided by the Decorator and we have not been able to get an answer from her.

Reply to: Hi Kristen, this floor is North American black walnut. The coloring process is based around an active stain, which achieves the "bleached" look you see here (normally walnut is reasonably dark, sometimes with a slight purple hue to it). This particular floor was textured, colored and finished by Richard Marshall Fine Flooring.
