covered, exposed beams to match the living room, skylights? one area for living, one area for dining. we just don't have the view ;-)

not sure what this roof material is? would it look bad once branches/etc collect?

would like the table to seat 6-7 but needs to be relatively compact given the space maybe benches for the long sides to be able to flex the number of people/kids? right now, even after brushing away leaves/seeds there is a lot of redwood debris DUST. not sure how much of this will go away w a covered area but would like furniture/cushions that resist collecting this. not sure what material is best.
