Contrast of the dark grey walls with the white cabinets. Not sure if the dark counter is a good fit or not?

i like how they painted the bulkheads white to extend the height of the cabinets to the ceiling. The crown may be more traditional than what we want but connects the cabinets to the ceiling by replicating the relief at the top of the cabinets....giving the illusion they are all one unit.

Backsplash - How does this kitchen offer any empty sockets for small appliances? Cut that stone? No way! Use Evoline's pop-up outlets. They recess into the countertops and "pop-up" when you need them. Or, use outlets that recess under the cabinets. Brilliant!

This cooktop and vent look better...appear more cohesive with the design. You can generally find a local metalworker to provide a stainless steel countertop.

I like the different coloured countertop on the island and warmth of the wood floors. Comment on HOUZZ "...medium to dark gray cabinets. This kitchen palette of black, white and shades of gray is understated yet so sophisticated. A touch of warmth is essential, however, to avoid a cold and sterile-looking kitchen. backsplash is unique...organic looking instead of predictable like tile. HOUZZ: The backsplash was handmade in a seamless custom concrete, which eliminates any grout lines. It was given a unique wave-like pattern and texture for visual interest. The texture is very subtle, which also makes it easy to clean. Solid-surface backsplashes. We are looking for kitchens that are easier to keep clean. Solid surfaces are easier to wipe down than grouted tile. I think we are also looking for a serene and uncluttered look. Love the colour palette of this space. I like the contrast of the dark island and light coloured countertop. The cabinets are nice but more traditional than my tastes. Love the stand alone stove exhaust. Don't like the quilt-work backsplash.
