La vista che si gode dalla grande vetrata è mozzafiato e il progetto ne ha previsto fin da subito l'utilizzo quale parte integrante del progetto. Ciò significa attuare tutte le strategie per rendere giustizia a madre natura cercando di "costringerla" il meno possibile all'interno di rigidi schemi spaziali. The living room provides direct access to the covered outdoor area. The living room is open both to the street and to the owners privacy of their back yard. The room is served by the warmth of winter sun penetration and the coll breeze cross ventilating the room.

The heart of the home consists of the living room and the family room, separated by a large two sided fire place. This created the sense of 'rooms' in a largely open part of the house. The finishes are modern while the furniture is soft and comfortable.

Client wanted to use the space just off the dining area to sit and relax. I arranged for chairs to be re-upholstered with fabric available at Hogan Interiors, the wooden floor compliments the fabric creating a ward comfortable space, added to this was a rug to add comfort and minimise noise levels. Floor lamp created a beautiful space for reading or relaxing near the fire while still in the dining living areas. The shelving allowed for books, and ornaments to be displayed while the closed areas allowed for more private items to be stored.

The large modular sofa in the living area creates the perfect space to snuggle up on an evening with a glass of wine. The whole space is framed with 2 full walls of curtains which help to add depth to the space.

The front elevation on this home shows many different elements. As you step in the front gate you walk over this beautiful pond. The concrete stair well is reconstituted concrete that has been formed using a rammed earth style. Together with the dulux white on white texture coat rendered walls and the Australian hardwood of spotted gum we have created a stunning Australian contemporary home. D-Max Photography
