A south facing extension has been built to convert a derelict Grade II listed barn into a sustainable, contemporary and comfortable home that invites natural light into the living spaces with glass extension to barn. Glovers Barn was a derelict 15th Century Grade II listed barn on the ‘Historic Buildings at Risk’ register in need of a complete barn renovation to transform it from a dark, constrained dwelling to an open, inviting and functional abode. Stamos Yeoh Architects thoughtfully designed a rear south west glass extension to barn with 20mm minimal sightline slim framed sliding glass doors to maximise the natural light ingress into the home. The flush thresholds enable easy access between the kitchen and external living spaces connecting to the mature gardens.

The Cosy Glamour 0400 81 is not just for divas. With a spectacular long-pile mix of matt and shimmering yarn, this Red rug brings some sparkle into the home and is stylish yet cosy. From the Esprit Essential Collection, this woven “it” piece is made with 70 % polypropylene heatset frisée, 30 % polyester. Other colours available.

A contemporary glass box extension was installed within the balcony of a penthouse apartment in South West, London. This extension used structural glazing, minimal windows and glass beams. To reduce radiant heat into the building, the client used solar control glass. Low maintenance coating was used on the external face of the glazing to wash any dirt or deposits.

IQ Glass used minimal windows to provide the homeowners with an inside-outside feel, as their existing dwelling had a poor connection to the large underused garden.
